Jennifer Lopez Just Served Up the Ultimate Fashion #TBT

Jennifer Lopez has come a long way since she was Jenny from the Block, not least of all in her fashion sense. These days, her wardrobe is more polished than streetwise, but every now and then, she’ll throw it back in a look that magically combines both. That’s what she did earlier this afternoon when she stepped out in New York wearing a heather grey tracksuit that felt like a modern, grown-up take on the bubblegum-pink Juicy Couture velour separates she made famous in her 2001 music video, “I’m Real.” Lopez’s sweats were trimmed in a metallic side stripe, which elongated the silhouette and added a diva-appropriate touch of shine. She kept the tone-on-tone message going with silver mirrored shades and suede ankle booties with exposed zippers. The choice of shoe felt more sophisticated than a sneaker, and she took that idea and ran with it by carrying her trusty  Hermès Birkin  instead of a gym tote. Will Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Be the Next Mother-Daughter Power Couple?

Kaia Gerber just took runway season by storm, not the least because she’s a stunning copy of supermodel mother Cindy Crawford. The same goes for Lily-Rose Depp, who, with extraordinary features that bear a striking resemblance to mother Vanessa Paradis, is now following in her mother’s footsteps as Chanel muse. This is not to mention that Lila Grace just joined mother Kate Moss at the Topshop Spring 2018 front row, driving speculations that she might consider a career in fashion herself. Will it soon be the turn of Beyoncé and daughter Blue Ivy?
Going off the words of Tina Lawson, the matriarch of the Knowles family, that day might be near. Lawson posted a photo on Instagram yesterday featuring a young Beyoncé while she’s getting her hair braided. Judging by the photo (and the delightful ’80s outfits), young Bey looks in her early teenage years. Yet, it’s already clear that Blue Ivy, at 5 years old, already looks like an exact replica of her famous mother. While it is probably too early to speculate what career path Blue Ivy will choose (though Blue’s fashionable ensembles have already left a solid impression on editors’ minds), we’re sure that she has inherited good enough genes from Beyoncé and father Jay-Z to succeed at whatever she will choose.
