Jennifer Lopez has come a long way since she was Jenny from the Block, not least of all in her fashion sense. These days, her wardrobe is more polished than streetwise, but every now and then, she’ll throw it back in a look that magically combines both. That’s what she did earlier this afternoon when she stepped out in New York wearing a heather grey tracksuit that felt like a modern, grown-up take on the bubblegum-pink Juicy Couture velour separates she made famous in her 2001 music video, “I’m Real.” Lopez’s sweats were trimmed in a metallic side stripe, which elongated the silhouette and added a diva-appropriate touch of shine. She kept the tone-on-tone message going with silver mirrored shades and suede ankle booties with exposed zippers. The choice of shoe felt more sophisticated than a sneaker, and she took that idea and ran with it by carrying her trusty  Hermès Birkin  instead of a gym tote. Sample pair of Kendrick's first Nike collab surfaces.

Less than two months after Kendrick Lamar officially announced his partnership with Nike, his first sneaker collab with The Swoosh has surfaced.
Paying tribute to his latest album, "DAMN.," the Kendrick Lamar x Nike Cortez features a blend of nylon and suede, highlighted by a brick red upper and black accents, including the swoosh and heel tab. "K" and "L" are stamped on the heel of the left and right shoe, respectively, while "TDE" lace dubraes round out the look.
It's important to note that the red and black "DAMN." Nike Cortez that recently surfaced has been confirmed as a sample pair, but it will at least give fans a taste of what to expect from Kendrick and Nike moving forward.
Prior to signing with Nike, Kendrick released several sneaker collabs with Reebok over the years, including the Classic Leather and Club C, as well as the Reebok Ventilator.
Kendrick switched up and partnered with Nike back in August. He made the announcement via twitter, tweeting, "Cortez. Since day one. #teamnike#TDE," so it shouldn't come as a shock that his first Nike sneaker collab will utilize the beloved Cortez silhouette.
According to reports, the Kendrick x Nike Cortez "DAMN." is just one of several pieces from his upcoming collection inspired by the album. A release date has not been announced for Kendrick's upcoming Nike Collection.
